As part of the "green Saturday" at SPIEF, the North-West Circular Economy Initiative was presented

On June 5, World Ecology Day is celebrated, and participants in the business program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum discussed the prospects of the "green agenda" development and the possibility of scaling up best practices.
At the sprint session "Creating an ecosystem of industrial symbiosis for the EcoNet market," organized by the St. Petersburg CleanTech Cluster for the Urban Environment, a number of ideas were presented that have already been tested in St. Petersburg and can be scaled to other regions of Russia.
Pitirimov Nikolai - Chairman of NP "The St. Petersburg House Property Owners Association" "noted that the cluster unites the leading enterprises of the city, as well as the academic environment, which jointly develop and implement new sustainable solutions within the framework of cluster projects. The results of the negotiations within the SPIEF and the results of participation in the ASI track for the finalists of the Forum "Strong Ideas for the New Time" were also presented.

Maxim Balanev, the executive director of the St. Petersburg Foundation for SME Development, the public representative of ASI in St. Petersburg and the board member of the international consortium "St. Petersburg CleanTech Cluster for the Urban Environment", declared start of North-West Circular Economy Initiative which will become the platform for best practices of St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and the countries of the Baltic Sea region. Participants of the initiative will be the St. Petersburg CleanTech Cluster for the Urban Environment, leading universities, eco-parks, startup accelerators and support infrastructure organizations. 

Positioning St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and the NWFD as a key pilot and model platform for the introduction of "green technologies" will create a serious advantage for the further growth of the region as an advanced hub for the future economy, which will help attract investment, create new industries and jobs. # nbsp;
