The conference was held by analytic web portal MarketMedia and SPIBA with the support of JTI.
Participants of the conference – Saint-Petersburg companies focused on two main issues: waste proceeding and recycling technologies development in retail and consumer product manufacturing and sustainable development principles: technology introduction costs, risks and rewards.
Aleksandr Belykh, the “Baltic Industrial Symbiosis” by Tyreman Group project manager spoke about the Project and invited participants to take part.
Some companies – members of Saint-Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA) signed a “Green Code” – a voluntary code of sustainable minded behavior initiated by “Petro” plant of JTI company. The code was supported by 14 companies, among them are “Baltika”, Mars, Unilever, Ariston, Group SEB, Smurfit Kappa and others. These companies realize programs for lowering CO2 emission, rational water and energy consumption, cutting waste production and separate waste collection.
