Tyreman Group plans to develop a software for industrial symbiosis

Since August 2019 Tyreman Group researches the potential industrial symbiosis chains development among companies of North-West Russia within the “Baltic Industrial Symbiosis” international project of Program of cross-border cooperation "Interreg. The Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020". During that time Tyreman Group experts have studied an international experience of the development of industrial symbiotic chains in Denmark and Norway (also by fam trips to industrial sites of international partners) and analysed practices of collaboration within industrial symbiosis cases. The team of the Project participated in more than 60 meetings with industrial companies of North-West Russia.

During the preliminary studies Tyreman Group found that some Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region companies have needs both in proceeding wastes for increase of income and in getting secondary materials that are cheaper than ordinary ones. To meet their needs Tyreman Group plans to develop a state-of-the-art software – multifunctional digital platform.

This platform would provide the following services:
1)   Companies would be able to find partners for the development of industrial symbiotic chains really fast and cheap;
2)   There would be a list of all the existing wastes/secondary resources that could be used with an exact geographical location;
3)   Information provided by the companies would be analysed in order to understand a potential value of wastes and possibility to use it as a secondary material in different symbiotic chains.

In absence of such platform companies spend too much time and money for finding new potential partners. The platform will make it easier and will help to develop new industrial symbiotic chains.
